3. Comment after each dissection as well.

its interesting how the earthworms body is so devoted to digestion and how much of the outer layer of skin is for mucus.

I was almost the first one to post on monday, but I didn't have an account. I couldn't access the worm dissection, but the virtual worm was amazing. Once they fix the problem, I hope to revisit it.
Hayley
I am excited to see the other systems of the worm besides digestive, and hopefully it will be fixed soon. I wi8ll try the dissection again.
HAYLEY
Yay! I finally got the dissection to work, although it was just pictures. It was cool, and I can't wait to do the real dissection.
Hayley
ewwwe but cool i thought it would be more like a animated game but i still think its kinda fun:)
-its interesting how the earthworm will actually eat when its digging and the virtuel one was alot more fun than the picture one ty mrs young- Hal
I thought the virtual dissection was very interesting and I cannot wait to actually dissect tomorrow.
Connor
The pictures were kind of discusting. It was interesting to see the digestive system of the worm. I understand the information and I think I am ready for the worm disection.
I liked the dissection, it was really cool and i hope to do the real one soon! Oh look an owl!

the pictures were very interesting and cool, I liked inside of the worm. The real dissection that we are going to do looks like a lot of fun.
The clam was weird ont the inside. I don't think it will be a fun dissection. Are we actually going to remove the mantle like in the fake dissection?
HAYLEY
OMG! I can't wait to do the dissections. I think this is the most excited I've ever been for shcool I can't wait for the worm dissection tommorow! I thought that the clam was extremeley cool and I'm excited about that too!!!!!
The clam pictures were cool I totally want to do the clam dissection now and I did not know clams had gills!
Trev
The worm dissection was better than the clam dissection because the diagram was extremely small and I couldn't really understand completely what I was doing. Anthony
i agree with trev i didnt know they had gills and also didnt know that clams realy had anything interesting in them
mrs. young we will get to disect dont flip out
GO COOK!
srry this is geoff i had troble with my account
oober- it looks like fun and i suppose where gonna have to cut the muscles that hold the shell togather
hal
LOOK A SMILEY FACE (:
OH NO, A FROWNEY FACE ):
the virtual worm is really cool the way the food breaks down into small pieces to produce nutrition to the worm is intersting. I cant wait to do the dissection tomorrow!!!
this is naji
THe earthworm dissection was cool but somewhat gross. i think the virtual worm was very helpful. It was fun. Why isn't there a picture of me? Also, this is the third time i've had to make anew account because there is like a glitch or something. It needs to be fixed.
HAYLEEY
The earthworm dissection was cool and grose at the same time I think that I can disect a clam better than an earth worm. IT WILL BE COOL!!!
Trev
the vertual worm disection did help me figure out what was what but i realy cant wait for the clam
hayley you spelled you name wrong
Geoff
I think that the worm dissection was awesome and i cant wait till the clam....
The pictures were way different than the dissection.

wow fridays gonna be fun im psyched
honestly i don't like the click on the picture and it tells you what it is its not a very good virtual dissection
the earth worm dissection was cool it was cool how we got to open it but at the same time it was hard because u had to be very careful with cutting the skin or else u would take out something. the virtual worm helped a lot.
I am looking forward for the clam dissection it looks like a lot of fun too.
naji
the clam site was pretty cool but i have a question how are we supposed to open the clam? i am really excited about doing the clam dissection.
naji
Wow! That's amazing I always used to think that clams were just shells I'm really excited about the dissection tommorow! The picture is cool too!-Connor
The clam dissection was soo much better on line. In real life , you couldn't recognize the organs because they were a big blob. Plus, it smelled really really bad. I hope that the other dissections are much better. Still no picture of me? I am deeply offended, but not really. This is a BIG problem and this is the fouth time i've had to make a new account
HAYLEY
The clam dissection was really smelly and I am never going to eat a clam but, the clam was cool to disect and I am going to be to be ready for the crayfish dissection on Tuesday.
Trever
I think the crayfish will be interesting because it appears to have recognizable organs. Will it be hard to dissect because of its hard outer plates? This is really frustrating because this is the fifth time I will have to make a new account. I know its not me forgetting my own password five times because I have like ten other passwords that work fine. I know that this isn't relevant, but that doesn't mean its not a problem. I hope you enjoy my very lengthy comment. Have a good holiday weekend.
HAYLEY
Geoff
I think that the crayfish will be some what, easier to identify organs, because it is slightly biger then the other disections. and smell worse then the clam
the clam dissection online was a lot better than the one we dissected in real life, because the one we dissected was not that interesting because u could only see the foot and muscles.
naji
the crayfish dissection looks like a lot of fun to dissect, it looks like it will show the organs a lot better than the clam. i cant wait to dissect the crayfish!!
naji
oh and hayley for the username u put ur email adress.
very interesting. I did not see how they regenerate, or remake there legs, or maybe in some cases, body in this computer dissection, but i hope to see how in the real one.
well that was like i thought, it would be easier to determine the parts and it was fun
im interested why the starfish is so completely covered with whats seems to be blunt pokers on the outside of the animal and if it will be easy to get through them
HAL
The starfish dissection looks really weird but I think its interesting too. Its gonna be hard to tell whats what though....
-anthony
The crayfish disection was easier then the rest of the disections so far. The starfish seems simple and I am interested in how the body works.
sorry i forgot to post my name to the last comment.
Trever
Wow! the starfish organs are so coool! I can't wait to see the organs in real-life!
the crayfish dissection was pretty cool becuase u could see the organs a lot better the only problem is the crayfish kind of stunk a little.
naji
the starfish looks very fun to do i am interested on how the function works.i cant wait to do the star dissection.
The crayfish dissection was amazing and i actually got to do alot of cutting. It didn't smell as bad as I thought. If I would have maybe enjoyed it better if I felt better, but it's all good now.
HAYLEY
OMG OMG OMG!! Oh, sorry. The starfish dissection looks sooo amazing. I absolutely can't wait to do it. Is there only enough for partners? I just noticed that my previous comment doesn't make sense. Also, don't be fooled that I am not hayley despite my user name because i pinky swear that i am. This is not at all relevant, but maybe it will make your day. In case you cant tell, im like oober psyched to cut open a starfish. Also, echinoderm is one of my alltime favorite words, so this really has a special place in my heart but not really. Wow, this comment be longer than the one from yesterday WOO HOO. Okay, i seriously gotta go. BYE!
HAyley
I think that the starfish organs are very interesting and I always thought that starfish weren't really alive.
Connor
think its also cool that each part of the starfish has its own organs
HAL
I thought the starfish dissection was amazing and im kind of grossed out by the frog one....
Oh look I found a little bit of info on the starfish!
Sea stars are any echinoderms belonging to the class Asteroidea. The names sea star and starfish are also (incorrectly) used for the closely related brittle stars, which make up the class Ophiuroidea.
Starfish exhibit a superficially radial symmetry. They typically have five or more "arms" which radiate from an indistinct disk (pentaradial symmetry). However, the evolutionary ancestors of echinoderms are believed to have had bilateral symmetry. Starfish do exhibit some superficial remnant of this body structure, evident in their larval pluteus forms.
Starfish do not rely on a jointed, movable skeleton for support and locomotion (although they are protected by their skeleton), but instead possess a hydraulic water vascular system that aids in locomotion. The water vascular system has many projections called tube feet on the ventral face of the starfish's arms which function in locomotion and aid with feeding.
The star fish usually hunt for shelled animals such as oysters and clams. They have two stomachs. One stomach is used for digestion, and the other stomach can be extended outward to engulf and digest prey. This feature allows the starfish to hunt prey that is much larger than its mouth would otherwise allow. Starfish are able to regenerate lost arms. A new starfish may be regenerated from a single arm attached to a portion of the central disk.
Starfish digestion is carried out in two stomachs: the cardiac stomach and the pyloric stomach. The cardiac stomach is a sack like stomach located at the center of the body and may be everted out of the organism's body to engulf and digest food. Some species are able to use their water vascular systems to force open the shells of bivalve mollusks such as clams and mussels by injecting their stomachs into the shells. With the stomach inserted inside the shell, the starfish is able to digest the mollusk in place. The cardiac stomach is then brought back inside the body, and the partially digested food is moved to the pyloric stomach. Further digestion occurs in the intestine. Waste is either excreted through the anus on the aboral side of the body, or excreted through the mouth if the anus is absent as in brittle stars.
Because of this ability to digest food outside of its body, the sea star is able to hunt prey that are much larger than its mouth would otherwise allow, including arthropods, small fish, and mollusks.
Some echinoderms live several weeks without food under artificial conditions. It is believed that they may receive some nutrients from organic material dissolved in seawater.
Sea stars and other echinoderms have endoskeletons, suggesting that echinoderms are very closely related to chordates; animals with a hollow nerve chord that usually have vertebrae.

The starfish dissection was very intersting. I am even more excited about the frog dissetion tommorow!
Mrs. young#1fan is connor please give me credit.
The starfish dissection was thoroughly amazing, but it was a very short time. I could have explored the starfish for 3 hours, but oh well. WOW! 2 pictures of me! May I add that I look fabulous. Anthony Anthony Anthony, just because you copied and pasted from wikipedia doesnt mean that your comment is longer. No matter what science says, I will always pronounce the word echinoderm as eCHInoderm because that is how it was always meant to be ever since the days of Tyrranosaurus Rex and those other dinosaurs that i can't pronounce their names. WOW, that is really irrelevent, but then again, nothin is relevant. Wait, I'm confuzzzzled. Maybe I better stop talking now, I have a new text message.
Hayley
The virtual frog dissection was really cool. It brought back memories from third grade. Goood times, goood times.I will not be there for the actual dissection on friday-tear tear-its soo sad. I will be with you people inside of my mind, and I will give you the news about special olympics. Ta ta for now!
HAYLEY
its alot cooler to look at the starfish after after seeing what the body parts are are and how they feel
im also very psyched for the frog disection but i think it might be kinda hard to identify the organs
its a terrible pic of me
The videos of the frog dissection are really cool. I think that the video makes it easier for the dissection tomorrow also I could never tell what the difference between a boy and a girl frog was until now. The starfish was fun to disect plus if you messed up on one of the legs you had another to work on. Dissections are fun!!!
Trever
the starfish dissection was really cool but it wasnt fair that we did not have that much time to dissect the starfish, it is really intersting seeing the stomach of the starfish.
naji
the frog dissection looks really cool i couldn't tell a female frog from a male frog but now i know i think the video is going to help with dissecting the frog. this is going to be fun
oh and the last one was naji
wow i hope my cutting is as good as that guys was because that frog look perfect i side. i hope the frog will smell like the pond!
the star fish or sea star was sweet i wish class wasnt so short i would have injoyed doing that disection longer!!
"in side" sorry
wow now that was fun and cool but i don't like how unfortunate we are to have the fun dissections in the short classes
now that was cool ilike how we could see what exactly they ate and i loved how much easier it was to figure what the organs were
The frog dissection very cool! I thought it was amazing how the stomach still had whole crickets in it. I'm confused on where the other website link is. if anyone finds out please post where it is, Connor
The frog dissection was really cool because you could actually see and identify the organs. It was really cool and i wish we had more time to disect.
the frog dissection was really cool, my favorite part was when we opened up the stomach and saw whats inside of it, but i wished we had more time to dissect it.
naji
i cudnt find the Pig dissection game thingy or watever it was...
but the frog one was... cool..... and gross....... I really dont wanna do the pig though!
